Completion of certain Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses is ~REQUIRED~ by the Department of Homeland Security.

There are other free FEMA NIMS courses as recommended by "Storm Spotting and Amateur Radio" by Michael Corey, KI1U, and Victor Morris, AH6WX, published by the American Radio Relay League, Inc., and will be listed on this site in the near future.
